I know what you’re thinking. It’s Monday, it’s December, you want to spread some Christmas cheer but you also want to cheer yourself up in the process. And obviuously you need a damn amazing soundtrack to do it all to, right? Well worry not, young one! BlagSound’s favourite new band Ic1s have released their new singleKarma‘ and are giving all the proceeds to charity. Shelter will receive all profits from the track – released today – which will help the homelessness this Christmas.

Every 2 minutes someone faces losing their home and for 79p, downloading the single from Amazon and iTunes, you can help. The NW London five piece are signed to Gary Powell (The Libertines) new record label, 25 Hour Convenience Store. Backed by the ‘Lib’ man himself they are certainly a force to be reckoned with and having a nod from Alan McGee (Creation Records/Oasis) who confirmed “If you go see a new band go and see IC1s, they’re brilliant & are post-everything. They know the time and year unlike most other new bands, this is 2011″ can only speak high in their favour.

Since their debut release of single ‘Levitate’ they have grown from strength to strength which shows in the bond they have and following they have amongst loyal fans and the stir they have created within the critics, even sparking a stage-invasion at our very own DEATH2DISCO. Having performed alongside The Cribs, Tinie Tempah, Proud Mary, The Charlatans, Buzzcocks, Twisted Wheel, Tim Burgess, Calvin Harris, Ocean Colour Scene and Mik Whitnall (Babyshambles) 2012 looks to see the Harrow boys really coming into their own.

They’re playing a FREE show at Notting Hill Arts Club on 28th December, alongside Brother & Bones, so get yourself along, it’s gonna be mega :)
