After 14 years at the Beeb, Mary Anne Hobbs resigns. Fronting notable shows on Radio One and pretty much breaking dubstep to the masses, the Lancashire born DJ is hanging up her radio headphones for the last time. Announcing it midday on her Myspace page, she says it’s the perfect time to leave while she’s on top and to go to to try her hand at other areas of broadcasting behind the scenes. Don’t be too upset though, you’ll still be able to catch the 46 year old beat-dropper perform live and enjoy her fine work curating Sonar Festival in Spain.
